1. Pianos need fine-tuning four times a year.(鋼琴必須每年調音四次。)
2. The violinist is fine-tuning his violin before the performance.(小提琴手在表演前小心調校他的小提琴。)
3. You must fine-tune your TV set to get the best pictures on the screen.(您必須小心調校電視機才能取得最佳畫面。)
4. We must learn to fine-tune our computers' audio-set up to get the best sound effects.(我們必須學習如何調校電腦的聲響設施來取得最佳音響效果。)
5. Many bloggers often fine-tune their blogs to get their blogs in order.(很多博客經常調校他們的網誌,使網誌正確無誤。)
6. Hairdressers usually take a look at the customers' hair and see if it needs fine-tuning before they are done with a haircut.
7. In order to establish a close rapport with students, teachers must learn how to fine-tune their rapport building skills.(為了與學生建立密切和諧的關係,教師必須調校他們的「建立融和關係」技巧。)
8. Some religious people tend to believe people's spiritual awareness needs fine-tuning all the time to master themselves in this world.
9. If you can't understand what I'm saying, it's time you fine-tune your sense of humour.(若您看不懂我在說什麼,是時候調校您的幽默感了!)
但願「微調」建議能“in tune with ”frontline educators' thoughts on the subject(與前線教育工作者的想法取得協調),若局長是“out of tune”with professional teachers (與專業教師大唱反調),這政策便會變成“tuneless”(沒腔沒調),就沒有人再“tune in to”EDB's proposals (聽從教育局的建議)了!
