淺水灣(約1970年)

　圖左為落成於1920年的淺水灣酒店，其前方於1年後開闢成淺水灣道。最高的建築物為保華大廈。在20世紀初，淺水灣又被稱為大浪灣。

　圖中為落成於1952年的海景泳屋。

　圖右下方的古堡式建築物，為興建於1930年代的余東璇別墅。

　淺水灣酒店於1982年拆卸，改建為高尚住宅影灣園。古堡別墅亦於1990年代改建為御苑別墅。

　Repulse Bay, C.1970

　On the left of the picture, there was the Repulse Bay Hotel which was established in the 1920s. Repulse Bay Road was opened up in front of the hotel in 1921. The tallest building is the Repulse Bay Towers. In the early 20th century, Repulse Bay was also named as Big Wave Bay.

　In the middle, there was the Seaview Centre which was completed in 1952.

　The castle-style building was the Eu Tung Shuen Villa which was built in the 1930s.

　Repulse Bay Hotel was demolished in 1982 to build the high class residence "The Repulse Bay". The castle-style building was also demolished in the 1990s to build the Royal Cliff Villa.　 　■鄭寶鴻　香港歷史博物館榮譽顧問
