溫布頓有路數二之二

平日進場看Wimbledon賽事都是英國的上流階層（upper-class），他們很守着衫指引（dress code），在場內也不會喧嘩亂叫，可謂很有禮貌和斯文的觀眾。但在People's Sunday就不同了，全英所有階級的人都在Centre Court看最頂尖的賽事，氣氛與平日大相逕庭。
1997年，Tim Henman是當時英國的最佳網球手，由於天雨關係，要在People's Sunday比賽。當時在有約15,000名英國粉絲的主場下比賽，連他自己都說：「From the word go, it was something I'd never experienced before. The noise was at a different level. Everytime I won a point , it felt like the roof was going to come off. I've never played at Wembley, but I can say that's as good as it gets in tennis.」
基本上，Tim Henman認為，People's Sunday就像是在溫布萊足球場（Wembley）的比賽，叫破喉嚨的歡呼聲與平時「文靜」的氣氛截然不同。
Love＝吃零雞蛋
觀看Wimbledon賽事，有一個slang一定要知道，就是Love。這裡當然不是解作愛情，而是零（zero）的意思。其實這源於法文l'oeuf（the egg）的意思。所以正確來說，網球場上用的love意指「吃零雞蛋」。
因此，也有英國人用love來開玩笑：「Why should you never fall in love with a tennis player? Because to them, love means nothing.」
