開業於1918年,位於現北角電車總站與明園西街一帶,其背後的山坡曾被稱為名園山。
園內有中西食肆、花園、戲園、酒店及游泳場,不少人在此舉行婚禮,端午節辦龍舟競渡,港督也出席。
1923年,由名園至石塘咀的巴士開辦,電車亦設一名園專線。
名園於1930年代中正式結業。
Ming Yuen Amusement Park, c.1920
The Park was opened in 1918 and located at the area of today's North Point Tram Terminus and Ming Yuen West Street. Behind it was the hill once called "Ming Yuen Hill".
There were Chinese and Western eateries, garden, theatre, hotel and beach in the Park.
Many people liked to hold their wedding parties here. During the Dragon Boat Festival, the governor would come to attend the ceremony of the Dragon Boats Competition.There had been buses and trams running between Shek Tong Tsui and Ming Yuen from 1923.
