「多做4年！」：「多做4年」是奧巴馬陣營今年常叫的一個口號，英文原文是four more years。
「美國大選投票昨結束」：「美國」的形容詞是American或US；「大選」即「總統選舉」，叫presidential election；「投票」其實很多時候不用說也可，因已提了election；「昨」便是yesterday；「結束」是end。
選舉人票 electoral vote
「總統奧巴馬奪得303張選舉人票」：「總統」是president；「奧巴馬」是Barack Obama；「奪得」固然可說get，但這兒說奧巴馬取得足以勝出的票數，可用另一個較「有型」的動詞secure表示；「張」這個量詞在英文完全不用說；「選舉人票」是美國總統大選的術語，英文是electoral vote。
