新加坡國父李光耀上月離世，舉世哀悼，就讓我們看看新加坡媒體報道他的一些遺願。
國防部長黃永宏︰李光耀支持對新加坡一眾建國之父進行紀念的想法，然而他相信圍繞着他的個人崇拜並不會幫助新加坡延續她的生命。（Mr Lee Kuan Yew supported the idea of a memorial for Singapore's founding fathers, but believed that a personality cult around him would not help Singapore last, said Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen.）
李先生已於 3 月 23 日離世，他不希望為自己立紀念碑，並堅持他在 Oxley Road 38 號的住宅應被拆掉。（ Mr Lee, who died on March 23, did not want monuments built for him, and was adamant his house at 38 Oxley Road should be demolished.）
他希望我們和下一代能成為他留下的遺產，而這能抵受時間的考驗。（ He wanted us and future generations of Singaporeans to be his living legacies in a Singapore that would stand the test of time.）
