¦]¦¹¥þ¬q¥i^Ķ¦p¤U¡GThere are many St. Bernard dogs in the mountains of Switzerland. They were originally raised to help rescue trapped mountaineers, but because of their lovable appearance, have become icons with which mountaineers take photos. However, the Swiss Animal Protection Agency (SAP) revealed that the dogs were having inadequate water and food in dilapidated living conditions. The businessmen who raised the dogs did not regularly walk them but had them stay outdoors to pose for photographs for long periods of time. Having noticed the mistreatment of the dogs, SAP lodged a complaint against the business to the local government. Subsequently, the authority has banned taking photos with St. Bernards. SAP pledged to house the badly dogs and the Barry Foundation, which breeds St. Bernards, also said it would strive to hunt for new homes for the doggies. ¡½Ãe¹Å»ö
