Marine iguana is one of the well-known species in evolution. Scientists believe that the lizard's ancestors formerly lived in the jungles of Central America and were carried to the Galapagos archipelago by ocean current several million years ago. In order to survive, they changed their skin colour, flattened their snouts and even learned to dive for food.
