做人要慎言，一國元首更要小心他的「金口」，英國《獨立報》對特朗普總統的言論有以下報道：
"Donald Trump says he is a victim of fabrications and lies - which is a bit rich."
唐納德．特朗普說他是捏造和謊言的受害者-確是有點兒過火。
"On the same day news leaked that special prosecutor Robert Mueller had convened a grand jury to help get to the bottom of allegations of collusion between Russia and Donald Trump's campaign, the man himself lashed out at an event in West Virginia, calling them a "total fabrication" and "made up" by Democrats still sulking over their losses."
同一天，據來源不明的報道，特委檢察官羅伯特．米勒（Robert Mueller）召開了一個大陪審團，調查特朗普被指與俄羅斯在競選中合謀一事，這位當事人在西弗吉尼亞州的一個活動中親身狠評，那些「謊言」和「虛構」出自那班仍然為挫敗而納悶的民主黨人。
因為特朗普總統胡亂發言，前言不接後語，更責罵傳謀（media）常常創作假新聞（fake news），令負責為他解畫的同伴疲於奔命。雖然有些言論是對美國政策，甚至對國際有深遠影響，但有些卻是無傷大雅又或未有確切的佐證。
"But will he deserve an apology? Maybe not. Because fabrication and spinning fables is his favourite form of communication. He is himself intimately acquainted with mendacity."
那麼，他是否應該得到道歉？也許沒有。因為捏造和塗脂抹粉的虛構故事言是他最喜歡的溝通形式，謊言是他的閨蜜。
