Make hay while the sun shines
You need a job and the company offers you a rather good post. Don't think too much or you will lose the chance. Make hay while the sun shines.
Now that you are in the university, you should make hay while the sun shines. Make good use of every opportunity and learn as much as possible.
He worked overtime as much as possible to earn more money. He knew that good times would last long, so he was trying to make hay while the sun shone.
Let the grass grow under one's feet
Let the grass grow under one's feet(腳下的地上都長出青草了)。
If you want the job, you had better apply for it at once. Don't let the grass grow under your feet.
He should have done it at that time. But unfortunately he let the grass under his feet and missed the golden chance.
If you want to improve your English, you should start now. Don't waste your time and let grass grow under your feet.
Make hay while the sun shines and don't let grass grow under your feet. ■Lina CHU
